Charity Bake Sale
- 1 minute (196 words)
Living alone in a new city can be difficult, especially during the winter time. No Christmas cookies backed by your grandmother and no feeling of solidarity. But, don’t worry, the Charity Committee is there to raise the Christmas spirit!
On Tuesday the 10th of December, we organized a Christmas Bake Sale. We gathered tinsel lights, a nicely decorated pine tree, hanging stars and of course delicious cookies, to celebrate that special time of the year. With the help of our fellow PPLE students who brought cakes and helped us to decorate everything, the feeling of solidarity was almost at its greatest.
From gluten-free banana bread to vegan cinnamon rolls or brownies, we had everything to satisfy a sweet tooth. And we noticed, many pplers have a passion for backed goods! Thanks to all the foodies, we collected a generous amount to help disabled children living in the Netherlands. Everything we collected goes to the association NSGK.
We ate and helped others in need, in the spirit of Christmas. The feeling of solidarity was at its greatest.
We thank you all for your participation and hope to see you soon.
PS: Merry Christmas!
